Consignment Application & Contractual Agreement

This form serves as an application for your horse to be considered for inclusion in the sale. 

There are limited spots in this sale and could fill well before the deadline, priority given to the earliest and most complete applications. These spots will fill fast.

Form submission deadline: March 10th 

Nomination payments must be paid at the time of submission or the application will not be considered.

You will be contacted by the Ruby Buckle Sales office upon acceptance into the sale before March 15

Consignment Fee: $750.00 + 8% Sales Commission & 8% Repurchase Fee

The $750.00 consignment fee can be deducted from sale proceeds.

Complete one form for each horse consigned, sign and date. Entries without a signature will not be accepted.

*Sale horses must have their 2023 nomination paid into Ruby Buckle & Pink Buckle (if sire is also enrolled in Pink Buckle) before this application is approved.  Horses that are not current on their nominations will not be accepted into the sale.  If 2023 nomination is not paid before sale, the $200 will be taken out of sale proceeds. CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT • PLEASE READ • IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS

  1. Consignment blanks must be accompanied by the Catalog Fee and original registration papers. The attached Terms & Conditions are a material part of this contractual agreement.
  2. Mares selling in foal must have a completed and signed breeder’s certificate or a letter from the stallion owner stating the breeder’s certificate will be issued at foaling.
  3. The Pink Buckle Sales, LLC (and the entities and/or individuals responsible for conducting same) are merely acting as auctioneer as to all sales or potential sales and are not responsible for any error, misunderstanding, misrepresentation, rejection or any particular sale, failure to pay as bid, condition of the horse or any other basis for dispute between the buyer and Seller/Consignor/Owner. 
  4. The Seller/Consignor/Owner of the horse must disclose fully any defects or bad habits and these must be called when the horse is sold. (Example: Cryptoids, Cribbers, Lameness or Unsoundness, Parrot Mouth, etc).
  5. The commission will be eight percent (8%) of the selling price. The consignor will have the privilege to “no sale” (Repurchase/Pass Out) his horse. If the horse is passed out, the cost to the consignor will be 8% of the last bid.
  6. Three generation pedigrees will be printed in the catalog on all horses consigned. Complete sire and dam notes based on the current statistics of the American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, and Jockey Club will be furnished on all horses. Any other association must be furnished by consignors.
  7. Only horses consigned to the sale will be allowed on the sale grounds. All horses sold before, during and after the sale will be subject to the 8% sales commission in addition to the catalog fee. All consignments must go through the sale ring.
  8. Transfer fees for Quarter Horses will be paid by the seller and deducted from the sales proceeds before the net amount is paid to the Seller.
  9. An individual Negative Coggins Test (that is current within 6 months) and a Health Sheet must be provided by the Seller/Consignor/Owner for each horse prior to being offered for sale.
  10. The catalog fee is non-refundable. Seller/Consignor/Owner agrees not to withdraw entry except for serious injury or sickness, and will furnish Pink Buckle Sales, LLC with a notarized veterinary statement confirming such condition prior to the horse being offered for sale.
  11. Upon execution of this contract, Seller/Consignor/Owner agrees not to dispose of the horse by private sale. Any horse withdrawn from the sale, for any reason other than infirmity will be assessed 8% of the selling price or a $1,000.00 penalty, whichever is greater, in addition to the $750.00 catalog fee.
  12. Any horse selling as Papers In Association will have sale proceeds withheld from the consignor until original registration papers are received in the Pink Buckle Sales, LLC office.
  13. Commissions and all fees must be paid no later than 30 days after the sale. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of your nomination fees and ineligibility to enter our races in future years. Additionally, the sale horse will be INELIGIBLE for the Ruby Sale Graduate Incentive.
  14. All consignors will be paid within 10 banking days.
